Home Again to host on-site Christmas toy giveaway event

Home Again, a family program of the Rescue Mission Alliance San Fernando Valley, will once again be on a new adventure for the 2021 holiday season. This year we have put on our thinking caps as a team to find creative ways to love and serve our local community.

Although we are still dealing with this pandemic, there is a great need for our communities to be reminded that we are still in the business of being the hands and feet of Jesus. As we have many new members of the team, we are overjoyed to be a part of this current season at the Rescue Mission Alliance San Fernando Valley.

We are excited about safely hosting an onsite Christmas Toy Giveaway event. Our desire is for our graduated families, along with the families currently living with us, to know they are thought of by our generous donors and the Home Again team. Our new staff members wish to establish relationships with past families by inviting them to a place they once called home.

Our goal is not just to house and feed people, but to create community and lifelong connections. We are here with open arms to love them and help them through this holiday season however it may look for each family. We hope to be a beacon of light in the midst of it all. The gifts are sorted by age group so parents can find the best presents for their little ones. to find something small and meaningful that the men in program will appreciate. We try to take into account things they are passionate about to help them build good habits, give them a bit of hope for their future, or just give them a good laugh.

Our main goal is to help our guys keep their eyes on their goals. Holidays are one of the most difficult times of the year. We hope that our gift giving helps the men in our program feel loved and appreciated. grateful for the opportunity to be of service. We hope our actions can reflect all the love and care we have as a program.
