Dignity is a popular word around here, but even more important is how we put dignity into action! We have volunteers from every generation and every walk of life who come to serve our guests with grace and dignity. They each have a unique role—they are cooks, kids’ activity volunteers or dinner hosts—but their impact goes far beyond their job descriptions. Volunteers are giving their time to invest in the life of another person by showing kindness, love, and understanding. They are helping guests to have fun and make memories in the midst of their difficult situation. Their “win” at the end of the day is when they’ve made someone feel valued and loved.

How do I serve? – The first step is to attend a Volunteer Open House, which are held on the second Thursday of each month. Apply online prior to attending—some roles require an in-person interview, background check, and reference checks.

What opportunities are available? – We have opportunities in the kitchen with meal prep, or if you are a part of a group, you can host a meal. Working with the kids in the evening is also a great way to connect and serve. If you have a special skill or you simply enjoy organizing and cleaning, we have jobs for that as well.
