Church At Rocky Peak Jumpstarts New Men’s Program

Two friends

Our mission is excited to share that we will be launching a men’s recovery and transitional housing program called Renewed Hope this summer. We are looking forward to having our own housing and programming available for homeless men, in addition to our Home Again family shelter.

We were given several buildings in East Hollywood last year that needed a lot of repair. We weren’t sure where the resources would come from to take care of 10 years of deferred maintenance, but then Pastor Brian Morehead and The Church at Rocky Peak entered the picture. They raised over $200,000 at Christmas for the remodel work. On top of that, more than 20 people showed up in the rain the first Saturday of March to start the demolition work! The remodeling should be complete later this month thanks to the generosity of our friends at Rocky Peak.

Our new program, Renewed Hope, will provide a no-cost, 10-month recovery program for men dealing with life-controlling issues and substances. Men in our program will participate in our biblically based recovery program and vocational training. After graduation, they will qualify for up to a year of transitional housing, so they can get off to a brand new start.

If you’d like to be a part of seeing this program help change lives for good, contact the mission for more information. We are trusting God will bring us more partners with the time, talent, and treasure to move from improving buildings to improving lives starting this summer!
