At the Rescue Mission, we see amazing things happen every day; such as families obtaining employment and housing, children succeeding in school, and adults learning money management and parenting skills. Families growing healthier and stronger through counseling and other supportive services are some of the miracles we witness. These successes would not be possible without the many amazing partnerships we’ve made over the years. This year we hosted our 2nd Annual Partners Luncheon, attended by many of our business and nonprofit partners. The event is a time to celebrate the many successes we’ve seen in the lives of homeless families through our work together. Each year we honor a few key partnerships that have made an especially significant impact on the lives of the families. This year we honored LA Family Housing for helping families obtain stable housing, Phillips Graduate University for providing free one-on-one and group counseling services on-site, Pepperdine Microenterprise Program for providing free schooling and ongoing support to individuals starting their own businesses, St. Charles Borromeo for partnering with our shower program and providing a safe and hospitable place for the S.O.S. guests, and Ralphs Grocery Store for employing 16 of our guests over the past year. We’re grateful for these organizations and the many others who give generously of their time and resources to help homeless families thrive.
