Ivan Londono became a friend of the Mission a few years ago. After taking a tour of the Mission, he jumped right in. Through his professional connections, Ivan encouraged local businesses to run donation drives to benefit the Mission. Ivan would spend his free time dropping off donation boxes at local businesses and once the boxes were filled, he would bring the donations back to the Mission.

Eventually, Ivan joined our Advisory Board and began offering his help in other ways. He was always ready to serve in any way that we needed! After visiting our Mobile Shower Program, Ivan saw first-hand the need for new underwear among the chronically homeless community. He began collecting underwear and bringing them to our Mobile Shower Program to be distributed to homeless individuals when they showered.

Recently, Ivan’s career took him to the East Coast. We are grateful for the care and generosity that Ivan put into his work with the Mission and we wish him the best of luck in his new endeavors.

As Ivan moves on from the Mission, the need still continues. This month, we are asking for those who are willing to follow in Ivan’s footsteps to donate new packages of underwear in all sizes, for both men and women.
