Have Cooking Skills and a Desire to Help? Supper Club is for You

Are you looking for a way to get involved at the mission? Do you enjoy cooking or want to improve your cooking skills? Then Saturday Supper Club is a great way for you to get connected!

In October 2017, we started our weekly Saturday Supper Club from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Chefs and experienced cooks oversee the prep of three to four meals that will be served throughout the week. Their team of volunteers receives training on knife skills, basic food preparation techniques, and kitchen safety while they prepare delicious and healthy meals for grateful homeless families.

Volunteers range from CSUN students to retirees and everything in-between. We’re currently looking for volunteers to make a once-a-month commitment for June through August to join our weekly teams. No prior culinary experience is necessary. We’re also looking for chefs and kitchen leads to help oversee the weekly meal prep. If you or someone you know is interested, please contact Volunteer Coordinator Cassie Leon at Cleon@erescuemission.org or (818)960-0405.
