17th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner

Volunteer serving food

It’s November and soon the familiar sights and sounds of our Annual Thanksgiving Dinner will be here. Buses will pull up bustling over with hundreds of guests with hungry stomachs. Exuberant volunteers will fill the courtyard; the sun will set but the joy of their faces will begin to light up the night. The mouthwatering smell of homemade Thanksgiving meals will waft through the air as dinner is plated. In the prep room, long tables will be filled with mountains of fluffy mashed potatoes, rivers of gravy, and heaps of stuffing with turkey at the center. Just like home. Inside the dining room, round tables with bright linens and fall flowers, and a large band will fill the room.

This Thanksgiving dinner is sure to be a memorable one. We are especially overwhelmed with the support exhibited by the community. Los Angeles, not without its challenges, has strength that few other cities in this world can compete with – generosity. Putting together a dinner for 600 guests is no easy feat, but the astounding support of the community has made it such a joy this year. Many thanks to our Diamond Sponsor ExakTime and our sponsors PepsiCo, Ralphs, MedPoint Management, Athens, the Miller Family, Councilmember Mitchel Englander Office of Council District 12, Clear Channel, Waste Management, Medtronics, Bella Vista Estates, the Piasky Family, Menasha Foundation Corporation, AAA T.L.C. Healthcare, Anthem, Western Bagel, the Yasukochi Family, the Chemel Family, The Garland Hotel, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and PoP! Balloons, for making this year’s dinner truly special.
