It is hard to imagine what it must be like for a mother and her children to not know where they will sleep at night. Many will sleep in their car, if they are lucky enough to have one. Those who are not so lucky will sleep wherever they can. Last year with the help of the community, the Mission rescued 150 children and their parents from the streets of Los Angeles. This year, we are committed to rescuing 250 children and their parents from the streets; that 250 children will be safe, warm, and well fed. Through our vast array of programs they’ll receive tutoring, counseling, art classes, mentoring, and so much more. Their parents will receive help finding a job, securing a stable home, and learning new skills to strengthen their family. This is a huge job and it takes a team of people who are committed to helping these families thrive. 250LA is a new initiative we are launching to engage the community in helping more people to live the lives they’ve always dreamed of living.
